Be thorough, but careful when cleaning lenses. Always check for tears or chips.
Always use fresh solution each night and be sure lenses are completely immersed in solution.
Rinse storage case with warm tap water then with saline each morning and let air dry.
Sit or stand close to a table or sink while handling lenses.
Re-clean lenses that have dropped on floor or clothing.
Avoid contact with sprays or aerosols.
Avoid harmful vapors and fumes.
Avoid extremely dusty environments.
Use caution when adjusting to temperature extremes such as ovens and freezers.
Keep a storage case and solution with you at all times.
Apply cosmetics after insertion and remove contacts before washing face.
DON’T.
Don’t wear contact lenses that have suddenly become uncomfortable.
Don’t wear lenses if you notice a rip, tear or chip in it.
Don’t exceed your wearing schedule.
Don’t wear your lenses for the maximum hours if you have not worn them in awhile. Build up your time as you did in the beginning.
Don’t mix solutions.
Don’t touch tips of bottles to anything.
Don’t try to wear a lens that has been left out of solution and become brittle.
Don’t try to wet lenses with saliva. Use a lens approved drop only.
Don’t use tap water on soft lenses, only lens approved solutions or drops.
Don’t overfill lens case causing the lens to float over the edge and become damaged.
Don’t use unapproved eye drops or solutions.
Don’t swim or shower with lenses in.
Don’t wear your lenses if you are not feeling well.
Don’t leave your lenses in excessively hot or cold environments.
Never sleep in your lenses without prior approval.
Don’t use perfumed soaps or lotion prior to handling lenses.
